The closing ceremony took place last night after a very successful backgammon festival last few days in Reykjavík. At the general assembly meeting, it was decided that next championship will be hosted by Gibraltar in early july 2018. And now for the final result in all tournaments…. The new team champions are from Norway. They played against Germany in the finals. After a tie in the main match they won in 7 points consultation match. For the battle for third place, Denmark beat France also in 7 point match.

European induvidual was won by Nodar Gagua, he also won the super-jackpot tournament.

The speed-gammon champion is Jörgen Mohr Poulsen.

And last but not the least the European champions in consultation-doubles are Róbert Lagerman and Ingi Tandri Traustason.
